PIZZA COMPANY RECEIVE LISTED BUILDING CONSENT

Third State Pizza Company Ltd, a franchise of the national Domino’s pizza brand, has received Listed Building Consent, to carry out internal and external alterations at a former Chinese restaurant in South Street. The permission granted last week by South Somerset District Council, includes the installation of extraction/ventilation equipment, but has been approved with conditions and the company’s full planning application for change of use from Class A3 (restaurant) to Class A5 (hot food takeaway) is still pending decision by the Local Planning Authority. The new Domino’s pizza takeaway will be housed in the former IP’S Palace building at the junction between Blacknell Lane Trading Estate and South Street in Crewkerne. Around 35 jobs are expected to be created, when the large pizza brand opens its hot food takeaway in the town.
