THEME FOR CHRISTMAS TREE FESTIVAL AT ST BARTHOLOMEW’S

The theme for this years Christmas Tree Festival at St Bartholomew’s church is ‘The Twelve Days Of Christmas’. Seen as a regular feature of Christmas in Crewkerne, trees must depict the above theme. No flashing lights are allowed but entrants are invited to be creative with their tree decorations. The Festival will run on the same lines as in previous years, with a limit of 55 trees. Places will be offered on a first-come, first served basis. Trees can be fresh, artificial or home-made. Visitors during the Festival, which runs from Wednesday December 14th until Saturday December 17th, will be invited to vote for their favourite tree. A small prize will be awarded to the winners in the junior and senior classes. Refreshments will be served by church stewards during festival open days, between 9.30am until 5.30pm. Although the Festival finishes on Saturday 17th, trees will remain on show at St Bartholomew’s church for Sunday services, Christingle on the 24th and Christmas Day service. Trees can be removed at your convenience on the 1st or 2nd of January, 2017. Entry forms for the Christmas Tree Festival are available from Hilary Leamon, email: hilary.leamon@btinternet.com
