ABLE2ACHIEVE FETE RAISES OVER £1,500 TOWARDS A JOB COACH

Able2Achieve Trust’s fete at Wadham school field last month, raised £1,516.74 towards recruiting a job coach, that will enable their Learners to actively pursue gainful employment in the community. Training Co-ordinator Colin Mackenzie told Crewkerne Headlines And Topics: “Thank you to all those whose support made our first fundraising fete at Wadham School such a success. We hope to build on this event and to rename it Family Fun Day, which will be held on the first Sunday of September, each year.” The community organisation has its head quarters in Yeovil. Its mission is to ‘enable personal achievement and progression by developing essential skills and self-confidence through learning, living and working. Able2Achieve works with people aged 18 years and upwards, whose primary diagnosis is that of a learning disability and whose needs can be met within a community setting. The Trust also offers support to adults who have been diagnosed with mental health issues, early onset dementia and young adults needing transition into independence. Next years Family Fun Day, will take place on Sunday September 3rd, 2017.
