SOLICITORS TAKE PART IN GREAT LEGAL BAKE

The Crewkerne office of law firm Humphries Kirk Solicitors took part in the Great Legal Bake 2017 earlier today, by selling home-made sweet and savoury bakes inside their offices and on a stall outside their business premises in Market Street, for an hour during lunchtime. Funds raised will go towards supporting the provision of free legal advice in the South West region of the UK, through the South West Legal Support Trust.

The Great Legal Bake is an annual fundraising initiative by the South West Legal Support Trust. Over £20,000 was raised at last year’s event by teams from law firms and advice agencies throughout the South West. Organisers are hoping that this amount will be exceeded this year and confirmed that over 50 teams had signed up by the end of January, to run fundraising cake stalls, coffee mornings and afternoon tea parties.

Humphries Kirk support staff Lisa Mckenzie and Anne Kendall were happy to sell the home-baked goodies outside of the Crewkerne office on Friday, with sweet and savoury bakes selling out fast. *The South West Legal Support Trust is unable to directly assist those seeking legal help or litigation funding.* For information on free of charge (probono) legal assistance visit www.nationalprobonocentre.org.uk
