A fund-raising Easter Hop took place at St Bartholomew’s School on Saturday afternoon. The event was organised and run by the Friends of the School Association (FSA) and raised around £500. The FSA raised around £10,000 last year for St Bartholomew’s School, which was spent on playground equipment and books. The money from year’s fund-raising events will assist the children’s school learning in the Information Technology department.

Saturday‘s Easter Hop was very well attended with children enjoying taking part in the competitions. Three winners, one from each age group 0-5, 6-8 and 9 years plus, in the Easter Hop competition where they had to see how many hops they could complete in one minute, were presented with an Easter egg. The Easter bonnet competition attracted many colourful and creative entries, there were two joint winners who each received an Easter basket full of goodies. All the children who took part in the Find the Letters, spelling the words Easter Hop were given a chocolate lollipop and winners in the egg and spoon races received a creme egg. The Easter hamper draw was won by green ticket number 174, bought by a lady called Judy. In the adult quiz, the winner scored a maximum 20 points and was given a bottle of wine.
