Crewkerne Area Business Chambers’ recent evening event on Marketing, welcomed Pam Knight of White Knight Marketing in Taunton. Pam’s presentation of Competing with other Shops & Businesses in the High Street, confirmed that ‘data is king’ when it comes to retailers knowing what their customers are looking for and keeping in contact with emails, special offers and loyalty cards. Pam’s working experience in customer sales and marketing, began when she worked in a bookshop at a seaside resort. It was the time when Mills & Boon books were at the height of their popularity among readers and led to some very amusing anecdotes.
Pam Knight went on to work in advertising for the Daily Express, in a special publication department for Somerset business articles, became Group Marketing Manager at Business Link and Director of Marketing for St Margaret’s Hospice, before launching her successful White Knight Marketing company about five years ago. Pam is a much sought after speaker on marketing and attends numerous business events to share her expertise. Chairman of Crewkerne Area Business Chamber (CABC) Brian Forster thanked Pam Knight for being their guest speaker and delivering a very interesting and informative presentation on Marketing with good advice on how to build better relations between customers and retail suppliers and service providers.
