TOWN CRIER HAPPY TO ATTEND LOCAL EVENTS AND FUNCTIONS

Crewkerne Town Crier David Craner is happy to attend local events and functions, as he fights his way back from cancer. David, who is also the official town crier for Beaminster in West Dorset and Seaton in East Devon, decided to take a year out of competitions to give himself time to recover from a major operation. He was diagnosed with lung cancer last October and underwent surgery to remove a substantial sized piece of his right lung. David is now feeling much better and is well enough to be out and about ‘yelling and belling’ locally. David Craner said: “I am looking for opportunities to do some crying in Crewkerne. I’m not in top form yet but would be okay about town.” David has won many competitions in the past. Last May he was presented with the National Town Criers South of England challenge cup, which he proudly accepted, on behalf of Crewkerne, Beaminster and Seaton. Any club, business, private or civic function who are interested in David attending their event as a toastmaster or town crier, please contact David on 01308 455733 or email davidcraner7@gmail.com
