POP-UP CHARITY EVENT FOR THE MANCHESTER VICTIMS FAMILIES

Oscars wine bar in Market Square hosted a pop-up charity event, to raise money to support the families of the victims in the Manchester bomb explosion. The Saturday event in Crewkerne was organised with only four hours of planning and was the idea of Amy Lord and Leonard Van Den Berg. Amy and Leonard invited local families to have their faces painted and have henna tattoos. In the street, outside of Oscars, Mike Strong in his MG and Michael Pattemore in his Corvette, offered rides in their vintage motor vehicles around the town.
The pop-up charity event raised £380 for the Manchester Appeal. It was attended by the Mayor of Crewkerne Ben Hodgson, who was happy to lend his support to the worthy cause.
