POLICE CONFIRM THAT A MAN’S BODY HAS BEEN FOUND:
Avon and Somerset Constabulary have confirmed that a man’s body was found yesterday morning at around 11.30 am, in a field off Lyme Road in Crewkerne, by a member of the public. A spokesperson for Avon & Somerset Constabulary said: “While formal identification has not yet been carried out, we believe the body is of missing 48 year-old man Tyrone Adams.” Police have updated Mr Adam’s family with the latest information. Police do not believe that there are any suspicious circumstances and the death is being treated as unexplained. Our thoughts are with the family of Tyrone Adams at this distressing time.
The family of Tyrone Sean Adams are concerned that he hasn’t been seen since last Thursday evening at around 10.30 pm. Mr Adams who is vulnerable and described as very friendly, had planned to visit Crewkerne on Friday but a reported sighting of him in the centre of the town on Thursday June 1st, suggests that he may have travelled to Crewkerne on the Thursday evening, from his home in Yeovil.
Mr Adams is 48 years of age, of stocky build and 6ft 3 ins tall. He was wearing a grey t-shirt, stone-washed jeans and sandals or flip flops when he went missing. He did not have any personal items on him at the time and his family are very concerned and would like to know his whereabouts. Mr Adams is known to have links with Crewkerne, Yeovil, Bridgwater and Taunton. Anyone who sees him or thinks that they may have seen him, since Thursday evening, are asked to contact the Police on 101 quoting reference number 1163.
