RESIDENTS OF POM-POM FAME TO HOLD SUMMER FETE

Residents at Barn Crescent in Crewkerne are holding their Summer Fete on Sunday July 30th from 11 am until 4 pm. The elderly residents of the Yarlington retirement living scheme, made headline news in April this year, when they unveiled their spectacular display of pom-poms, inspired by well known nursery rhymes, in their front gardens and on the lawned and paved communal areas. They are now putting their strong dedication to a cause into the annual fete, in aid of the Children’s Hospice South-West (Bristol).

Light lunches and afternoon teas will be served in the Barn Crescent community room, where visitors will be able to try their luck at the tombola stall, buy raffle tickets for the grand draw and browse through a table top sale, selling a good selection of pre-owned ladies and children’s clothes and other products. Pitches for the table top sale are still available at £5 a table and can be booked by phoning 01460 929077.
