ROTARY’S CROSS COUNTRY HORSE RIDE WILL BENEFIT AIR AMBULANCE

The principal beneficiary of the annual cross country horse ride, organised by the Rotary Club of Crewkerne will be Dorset & Somerset Air Ambulance. One of the Rotary club’s main events of the year, Dinnington Ride will take place on Sunday August 27th, starting at 9.30 am from a field close to the Dinnington Docks pub near Hinton St George, postcode TA17 8SX.

The fun horse ride is now in its 37th year and is open to all ages, with riders under 14 years of age needing to be accompanied by an adult. The circular route across picturesque farmland, woodland and parkland with very little riding on the country roads, is approximately 12 miles long. There is also a shorter course available of approximately 6 miles. The event which runs from 9.30 am to 11.30 am at the latest, will be well sign posted with plenty of parking spaces for horse boxes and lorries. Refreshments will be available. Entry fee for the Dinnington Ride is £15. Registration can be made on the day or prior to the event by contacting Nick Bacon on 01460 72665.
