The Rotary Club of Crewkerne is hosting a recruitment morning for prospective new members at Costa coffee on Saturday August 19th from 10 am until 12 noon. They are inviting anyone who is interested in finding out more about the organisation to join them. A similar coffee morning was held at Costa’s in Falkland Square in April this year, which proved encouraging and highlighted the importance of being out and about in thecommunity to recruit new members.

The Rotary Club of Crewkerne is a fraternity of like minded people who enjoy friendship and working together to help improve the lives of others in the local community and at an international level, as part of a larger network of Rotarians. The club was granted its charter in June 1953 and celebrated its Diamond Jubilee in 2013. This year marks the Centenary of Rotary International in Great Britain and Ireland, providing members with a great opportunity to celebrate its 100 year anniversary by inviting others to join them and find out more about their youth projects with local schools, fundraising initiatives supporting local charities and their involvement with global projects within the International organisation of Rotary.
