Stall holders offering a rich variety of award winning food and drink will be back at Crewkerne Farmers Market on Saturday September 16th from 9 am until 1 pm. The monthly market which began 2017 with a new location in front of Henhayes Community Centre, has seen a steady amount of footfall since moving from Falkland Square and never fails to deliver on quality meat, fish, poultry, cheese and eggs and seasonal fruit and vegetables. Christine Langford CFM Day Manager said: “Crewkerne Farmers Market allows shoppers to buy from people who have created and reared great tasting produce in the local area. At the farmers market, the producers are always happy to answer any questions about their produce.”
A comprehensive selection of around a dozen stalls have confirmed their attendance for this Saturday’s Farmers Market. These include: Beech Ridge Farm, Bower Hinton Farm Shop, Eggardon Rare Breeds, Islebeck Plants, North Perrott Fruit Farm, Old Castle Farm, Raindrop Flowers, Somerset Cheese Company, Taylors Traditional Bakers, West Country Water Buffalo and Dorset Shellfish. Dorset Shellfish have just announced that they are a finalist in the awards for Taste of Dorset 2017. The crabs are caught in the Weymouth Bay area and freshly cooked from the boat on Portland.
Ed the Potter from Watchet, who likes a good chat with his customers, will be running a special promotion on Saturday. He will be offering a generous 10% off the price of his great pots to anyone who greets him with the word ‘Freelander’.
