An evening of folk and country music with the talented Farey Family will take place at Henhayes Community Centre on Friday September 29th at 7.45 pm. The Farey Family who live in Somerset have been singing and playing together for years and are becoming more recognised in the local area for their original compositions and traditional folk, gospel and country songs. Jemima Farey is the eldest of four daughters who writes original songs incorporating many themes, including family, loved ones and cherished places. Her uncomplicated yet delicate guitar work provides the perfect accompaniment for her strong and mesmerising vocals. Performing live as a solo act, Jemima is a true and captivating performer and fundamentally what comes through in her music is an unforced and genuine passion for music and story telling. Jemima will be performing in concert at the Henhayes Centre alongside her parents Jonathan and Maria Farey, accomplished and talented musicians who play a range of instruments and her three sisters Otterly, Polly and Lily, also talented musicians.
For concert goers who enjoy a meal before watching a performance, a supper of steak and ale pie with apple crumble for dessert will be served at 6.30 pm. An alternative vegetarian main meal is also available. Tickets that include the pre-concert supper must be pre-booked and paid for beforehand. The bar will be open at 6 pm for pre-dinner drinks and will stay open all evening. Concert tickets that include supper cost £18 and tickets for the concert only cost £10. There may be some concert only tickets available at the door. To purchase or order tickets please contact Henhayes Centre on 01460 74340 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
