The South West England’s African Caribbean Theatre Company will visit Crewkerne on Thursday October 12th. Tangle Theatre Company, whose administrative office is based at Take Art in South Petherton, will be performing their latest touring production of Renaissance: No One Is An Island, at two different venues in the town. The first show will be in the afternoon at 4 pm at Bowhayes Lodge in Orchard Rise with an optional tea served at 3.30 pm. The second show, on the same day, will take place at the King William public house in Barn Street at 7.30 pm.
Tangle Theatre Company is a superb South West African Caribbean ensemble, that celebrate the work of artists of African, Caribbean and more than 50 other heritages. Their latest production is described as a ‘poetic journey through the human imagination and todays’ turbulent times, rhythmically woven together with beautiful a capella songs’ arranged by Allyson Devenish and directed by Anna Coombs. The one hour performances of No One Is An Island, comprise of two newly created poems and include time for the audience to meet the theatre company.
