Buddhist Monk Geshe Sherab will be giving an evening talk on ‘Sustaining the Hope in Troubled Times’ at Henhayes Community Centre on Wednesday November 8th. The evening has been arranged by the Saraswati Buddhist Group with a suggested donation of £5 on the door and will run from 7.30 pm until approximately 9 pm, allowing a brief time for questions and answers.
Geshe Sherab was born in Nepal in 1967. At the age of 9 years he entered Kopan Monastery in the Gelugpa tradition, located on the outskirts of Kathmandu. Geshe has remained a buddhist monk since that time and received teachings and guidance from many great masters, including the Dali Lama. He is currently a resident teacher at TFL in Santa Fe. His visit to Crewkerne offers a rare opportunity to meet him and hear him speak. Geshe will be speaking about love and compassion and on finding a lasting solution to hatred, bigotry and terrorism by the purging of negativity.
