FATHER CHRISTMAS TO VISIT LOCAL STREETS WITH ROTARY HELPERS

Father Christmas will soon be visiting the streets of Crewkerne, Merriott and Misterton, as helpers from the Rotary Club of Crewkerne District bring his sleigh to town as part of their annual charity fundraiser. The Christmas float will be out and about, spreading joy and sweets, as it raises funds with a bucket collection for Rotary charities, between approximately 6.30 pm and 8.30 pm on December 11th, 12th, 13th, 18th, 19th and 20th.

On Monday 11th the festive float will visit Merriott, Tuesday 12th Crewkerne’s Lang Road, Bushfield Road and Langmead Road, Wednesday 13th Crewkerne’s Kingswood Road, Kit Hill and Park View, Monday 18th Misterton and Station Road, Tuesday 19th Crewkerne’s Fox Meadows, Ashlands Road, Oak Drive and Maple Drive and on Wednesday 20th Crewkerne’s Beechwood Drive, Bincombe Drive, Old Mill Lane, North Street, West Street and Lyewater.

The 2016 collection raised £1,900.63 with funds donated to local charities supported by the Rotary Club of Crewkerne District, which include Henhayes Memory Club, School In A Bag and Promise Works Mentoring. The Rotary Club of Crewkerne District welcomes new people from all walks of life, who want to use their expertise for good, people whose sense of community inspires them to give back to their local communities.
