CHRISTMAS JUMPER AND COFFEE MORNING RAISES £86.00 FOR CHILDREN’S CHARITY

A Christmas jumper and coffee morning at A E Stoodley & Sons in Crewkerne raised £86.00 for the children’s charity The Lily Foundation. The event was hosted by funeral directors Tracey Warren and Colin Roberts who had spent their spare time the previous day, cooking up treats which included mince pies and chocolate truffles. Tracey, Colin and friends served hot drinks to shoppers and visitors who were all happy to step into a warm office to support the charity and shelter from the cold and sleet outside.

The Lily Foundation gives hope, answers and support to children and their families, who face the challenges of Mitochondrial Disease. It was founded in memory of Lily, an 8 month old little girl who lost her battle with the disease and her memory lives on as the charity strives to improve diagnosis, increase treatment options and ultimately find a cure. Tracey and Colin would like to thank everyone who supported their Christmas jumper and coffee morning and gave donations to the worthy cause.
