WEDDING FAIR MOVES TO SUNDAY AFTERNOON TO ENCOURAGE MORE VISITORS

The Spring Wedding Fair at St Bartholomew’s Church will take place on a Sunday afternoon this year, to encourage more visitors. Last year’s event was very well supported but many commented that others were unable to attend as it was held on a Friday evening. Proceeds from the Wedding Fair on Sunday April 29th from 12 noon until 3 pm, will be divided equally between St Bartholomew’s Church and the Mothers Union Overseas Fund.

Sixteen exhibitors have already confirmed their attendance but there is room for more. Organiser Ann Cossins is particularly interested in hearing from men’s outfitters who provide formal attire for grooms and their ushers, a florist, outside caterer and any other businesses that offer services that are essential for a wedding. Ann can be contacted through the St Bartholomew’s Church office on 01460 72047 or by messaging her on Facebook page Crewkerne Wedding Fair, set up especially for the event.

The interior of the 15th century parish church offers a unique venue for the Wedding Fair, with may interesting architectural features for visitors to admire, including Tudor style chapels, beautiful stained glass windows, medieval carvings and a high vaulted ceiling. The spring Wedding Fair is not just for couples who are planning to marry in a church and will include a wide range of exhibition stands, offering everything that is essential to make a wedding an extra special day for the bride, bridesmaids, groom and guests. Admission to the wedding fair is free and light refreshments will be available.
