FRIEND’S DYING WISH CARRIED OUT IN FUNNY AND POIGNANT ROAD MOVIE

A friend’s dying wish is carried out in Filmcrew’s March screening of Burn Burn Burn at the Wadham school auditorium on Friday March 9th at 7.30 pm. Two young Londoners, Seph played by Laura Carmichael and Alex played by Chloe Pirrie, follow a request to scatter their best friend’s ashes in locations with special meaning, in this funny and poignant British road movie, a directional debut for Chanya Button.

The road trip movie about life and death boasts a real depth of emotional intelligence while still having a sense of humour. Many of the wayward characters that they meet on the road, exhibit kindness and compassion but there comes a time when the girls need to repay the favours after meeting a hitchhiker. FilmCrew, the Crewkerne and District Community Cinema is a friendly film club that welcomes visitors, who can attend an individual film show for £6, payable when doors open at 7 pm. The film season runs from September to May inclusive each year. For membership enquiries, please contact Joan Clemow on 01935 822656.
