Pom-Pom workshops began on Tuesday afternoon in Bilbys in preparation for this year’s town decorations. The workshops are organised by Creative Crewkerne and lead up to a grand display of pom-poms in the town. The unveiling will take place on Saturday April 28th when the organisers are hoping to include some extra surprises. The next community workshop, open to all age groups, will be held at the Antiques Bazaar on Thursday March 8th from 10.30 am until 12.30 pm. Other pom-pom making workshops in March, will take place in the Barn Crescent common room on Sunday 11th from 2 pm-4 pm, the White Hart in East Street on Wednesday 14th from 7 pm-9 pm, Crewkerne Library on Saturday 17th from 10 am until 12 noon and at NO7 the cafe in Market Street on Wednesday 28th from 2.30 pm until 4.30 pm.
April’s workshops will take place on Thursday 5th at the King William from 7 pm- 9 pm, Sunday 8th in Barn Crescent common room from 2 pm until 4 pm, Tuesday 10th at Bilbys from 3 pm until 5 pm, Tuesday 17th at Oscars wine bar from 7 pm – 9 pm and on Wednesday 18th at the Antiques Bazaar from 10.30 am until 12.30 pm. Last year’s pom-pom displays in the town produced a colourful show with a special attraction at Barn Crescent, where the elderly residents had chosen the theme of nursery rhymes and produced spectacular displays in their front gardens and on the communal lawned area. Creative Crewkerne would like to thank all the venues for their support and look forward to seeing everyone at their pom-pom making workshops.
