An evening of varied and entertaining music for piano and organ, performed by Jonathan Delbridge of Crewkerne, will take place at the Church of St Peter and St Paul in South Petherton on Friday March 16th at 7.30 pm. Jonathan Delbridge is well known for his exciting concert programmes on both piano and organ. He is a versatile musician, performing major classical works, jazz standards and his own improvisations. Although based in Crewkerne, where he runs JD Music Services, Jonathan performs at venues throughout the UK, including the Royal Albert Hall, York Minster and Norwich Cathedral.

The church organ at South Petherton is a fine 2-manual instrument and Jonathan will demonstrate its various tonal colours by including JS Bach’s famous Toccata and Fugue In D minor, alongside the beautiful Elegy by Thalben-Ball and Jeremiah Clarke’s much loved Prince of Denmark’s March. On the piano, Jonathan will include a rarely heard piece of music by the English composer John Burton as well as the popular Entertainer by Scott Joplin and Etudes by Chopin. Tickets for the evening concert cost £7.50 and are available from N and D News and by calling 01460 249288.
