Free Easter activities for children at the Old Stagecoach Inn on Bank Holiday Friday, went ahead despite heavy rain. Quick thinking Landlady Lorraine Pike, moved the competitions indoors when the outside Easter egg hunt was called off. Young children enjoyed taking part in egg and spoon races, a dance competition and hunt for mini chocolate eggs in the large room which normally houses the restaurant. All the children taking part in the fun activities were presented with a boxed Easter egg, as a thank you for turning up with their families on a day when the rain failed to stop play.
Lorraine and her team at the Old Stagecoach Inn are looking forward to welcoming a new member of staff later this month. Pete Gray, who has over 40 years of experience in cooking up culinary delights, is the new Head Chef. A free taster night will take place on Thursday April 12th from 6 pm until 9 pm, when patrons and visitors can sample food from the new menu, and with Grills being one of Pete’s specialities, it promises to be a sizzling good evening.
