A banner, erected on a private fence in East Street, announces this year’s Wedding Fair at St Bartholomew’s Church on Sunday April 29th from 12 noon to 3 pm. Over 20 exhibitors will be showcasing their wedding services at the unique venue in the 15th Century parish church. Exhibitors include a florist, local singer, hair and beauty professionals, photographer, bridal wear specialists and suppliers of local wine, wedding cakes, wedding stationary, plus transport for the bridal party from local companies offering wedding cars and carriages, venues promoting their wedding reception areas and many more services, all essential to make every couple’s wedding day, an extra special occasion.
Entry to the Wedding fair is free to all visitors, there will be a free draw for all brides-to-be and refreshments will be available. Crewkerne’s wedding fair is not just for couples who are looking to get married in a church. Proceeds from the Wedding Fair will be divided equally between St Bartholomew’s Church and the Mothers Union Overseas Fund. Organiser Ann Cossins is extremely grateful to John and Geraldine Clotworthy for agreeing to host the banner. Ann is looking forward to welcoming everyone to the Wedding Fair, which was held on a Friday evening last year but was changed to a Sunday afternoon this year, to enable those who are working until late on weekdays to attend and enjoy the event with their friends and families.
