Haydn Potts of LIFT gym/physical fitness centre is raising funds for the Monday Memory Group at Henhayes Community Centre. LIFT are supporting the weekly memory group by performing one burpee for every £1 raised, through the crowd funding page at A burpee is a full body exercise used in strength exercising. The movement is performed in six steps; beginning from a standing position, moving into a squat with both hands on the ground, kicking feet back into a plank position while keeping arms extended, performing one push-up, returning to a squat position and then standing up and making one upward jump with arms extended.

Hadyn and his team will carry out the fund-raising workout at LIFT in South Street Crewkerne on Sunday July 8th and have set a target of £700 to be raised before the workout, which will result in 700 burpees being performed on the day. The Monday Memory Group at the Henhayes Community Centre is specifically for those suffering from memory loss and dementia, offering a variety of activities and entertainment and a quiet time to reminisce with trained staff and volunteers, which gives respite to carers and allows them time to relax. The amount raised so far on the crowd funding page at Just Giving, currently stands at £250, equating to 250 burpees.
