The Community Fete held at Barn Crescent raised £800 for The National Autistic Society. The summer event at the Yarlington retirement living scheme in Crewkerne included a table top sale, which due to glorious sunshine was held outside and offered many bargains on the bric-a-brac, pre-loved clothes, jewellery and craft stalls. The elderly residents who helped to organise the fete made everyone feel welcome and enjoyed helping at the stalls and with the refreshments.
Entertainment was provided by local singer and musician Ken Priest in the common room where drinks, light lunches and afternoon teas were served. The Barn Crescent residents would like to thank everyone who supported their summer fete and the local businesses who donated prizes for the grand draw.
