Crewkerne Farmers Market will be joined by the Yeovil Ukulele Club on Saturday. The monthly farmers market, held in front of Henhayes Community Centre between 9 am and 1 pm, will also welcome Bowers Bakery. The artisan bakers from Flaxdrayton Farm have been baking for almost 10 years and use flour from local mills for their handcrafted bread. Greek cuisine with My Blue and White Kitchen makes a welcome return and children are invited to come along with their families to help find Monty, the market mouse.

Crewkerne End of Summer Show which is supported by Crewkerne Lions Club takes place on Saturday September 8th between 9 am – 4 pm at the show site opposite Netherhay Chapel on the Clapton to Drimpton road. This year’s event is in aid of St Margarets’ Hospice and Alzheimer’s Research UK. The Horse and Pony Show includes unaffiliated jumping, showing, gymkhana, dressage and for the first time Le Trec classes. Qualifying classes for Cricklands Winter League Finals include show jumping and all dressage classes.
A Companion Dog Show take place in the afternoon with Novelty and Pedigree Classes. Refreshments will be available and trade stands and table top sellers are welcome. Tickets are on sale for the CUDOS September production of Monty Python’s Spamalot. The new musical with lyrics by Eric Idle and music by John Du Pres, comes from the original screenplay by Graham Chapman, John Cleese, Terry Gilliam, Eric Idle, Terry Jones and Michael Palin.
Full of riotous comedy, misfit knights, killer rabbits, dancing nuns and ferocious Frenchmen, it promises to be an outstanding production. Performances take place in Victoria Hall at 7.30 pm from Thursday September 13th to 15th with an afternoon matinee at 2.30 pm on the Saturday. The hilarious musical is directed by Nick Harris with musical direction from Gill Merrifield and is choreographed by Lisa Gage.
