BUS OPERATOR OF SERVICE 40 ISSUES NEW COMBINED WEEKDAY TIMETABLE

The bus operator of service 40 between Yeovil to Beaminster via Crewkerne, Mosterton and Broadwindsor has issued a new weekday timetable, that comes into operation on November 4th and will continue until further notice. The Monday to Friday bus timetable shows connections between Beaminster and Bridport with service 6 operated by First Wessex, Dorset & South Somerset and between Yeovil and Crewkerne with service 96 operated by South West Coaches.

Passengers travelling between Yeovil and Bridport via Crewkerne will need to change buses in Crewkerne or in Beaminster to complete their journey, apart from the service 6’s 1300 hrs bus from Yeovil Bus Station, which is scheduled to arrive at Frosts in Bridport at 1406 hrs – this bus does not call at Broadwindsor and the same company’s 0932 hrs service from Nationwide in Bridport arriving at Yeovil Bus Station at 1039 hrs – does not call at Broadwindsor.

Service No 40 is now operated by The Buses of Somerset, the trading name used by bus operator First South West for services run from their depots in Taunton, Bridgwater and Yeovil. Their buses can be easily recognised by their new two tone green and cream livery and new branding, in a departure from First Group corporate identity.

The bus route between Bridport and Yeovil is classed as an inter-urban route where journeys between Bridport town and Bridport Hospital and to Yeovil College were previously seen as a priority but are not shown as scheduled stops in the new weekday bus timetable which shows the connecting departure and arrival times for services 96, 40 and 6, and can be downloaded from www.firstgroup.com/somerset
