Local Rotarians are pleased to announce that the Rotary Shop will open on Friday November 9th in the former antique shop next to the George Hotel in Market Street. The Christmas charity shop will be staffed by volunteers from the Rotary Club of Crewkerne, Rotary Club of Crewkerne District and the Inner Wheel Club of Crewkerne.
Donations of quality used goods and pre-loved items, in particular a selection of goods for pet owners, have been steadily arriving. Last year’s Rotary shop in the former HSBC bank premises in Market Square saw less footfall than expected and Rotarians are hoping that this year’s more central position in the town, will encourage more people to visit their shop in the run up to the festive season and result in higher proceeds for the charities which they support.
