OVER 100 ATTEND MUSEUM ART EXHIBITION PREVIEW EVENING

Over 100 people attended the preview evening of Crewkerne & District Museums Art Exhibition, despite the stormy weather conditions with gale force winds and heavy rain. A brisk trade in sales of the exhibits was reported by Museum Administrator Janet Harris. Janet said: “Visitors are enjoying the high standards and wide variety of the work and showing this with the sales being made.”

Art in the Museum is open to the public on Mondays to Saturdays from 11 am to 2 pm until Saturday December 1st. Entry is free and the work of 45 exhibitors, with crafts ranging from glass-work, silver jewellery, woodwork, textiles and paintings is on show and available to purchase. The Heritage Centre benefits from the commission charged to the artists, which helps to boost funds to maintain the museum throughout the year.
