A free public performance to mark the centenary of the Armistice takes place at St Bartholomew’s Church on Saturday November 24th at 7.30 pm. Come & Sing, The Armed Man is a mass for peace by Sir Karl Jenkins. The Musical Director will be Tim Donaldson who is currently MD of South Somerset Choral Society, who will be accompanied by Jonathan Delbridge, trumpeter Hetty Christopher and a percussionist.

Anyone who would like to take part in the performance of the modern classic choral work is welcome to book a place on This Singing Day, which is intended for both experienced singers and those fairly new to choral singing. The day will include rehearsing the choruses from 10.30 am in the morning and from 2 pm in the afternoon with a break for tea. Application forms for the singing rehearsals are available from the church and from the LIC in the town hall. There will be a retiring collection at the evening performance which will help raise money for the West Window Appeal at St Bartholomew’s Church.
