Christmas events began at the George Reynolds Centre on Thursday evening with a craft fair and festive cafe. A variety of stalls offered a range of crafts and gifts for Christmas, including handmade decorations and cards, knitted and crochet items, jewellery, cushions, hand finished chocolate and fudge and Harry Potter merchandise. There was also a children’s craft area and festive cafe selling hot drinks and cup cakes. Entertainment was provided by local celebrity Jan McNeill. Jan who had retired from a professional singing career which saw her singing with many international stars including Sir Cliff Richard, is enjoying a revival and loving being back in the swing of things.
The festive fun continues on Saturday December 8th when Santa invites parents and children to come and have breakfast with him at 10 am. Tickets for the morning event which includes a full English breakfast for adults and bacon or sausage bap for children cost £5 each and are selling fast. Each child at the breakfast will receive a gift from Santa. Bookings must be made in advance by contacting Sarah at the GRC on 01460 73972 or by email to firstname.lastname@example.org
