NEWS IN BRIEF & DIARY DATES

FilmCrew present a canine tale of strange beauty when the Isle Of Dogs takes to the movie screen at Wadham School auditorium on Friday December 7th at 7.30 pm. Wes Anderson’s new stop-motion tale begins with a scene setting prologue from ‘Before the age of obedience’ and fast forwards to the Japanese archipelago 20 years in the future. With breathtaking visuals and an uncanny eye for canine behaviour, the animated dystopian comedy is funny, touching and full of heartfelt warmth and wit. Visitors may attend an individual film show for £6 without needing to book in advance. FilmCrew are also running a special offer of membership to see the remaining six films in the current season for £19. For membership queries, please contact Joan Clemow on 01935 822656.
