A charity football match between mens and ladies sides, to support children with Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB) takes place on Saturday December 29th at Henhayes field. The event is being hosted by Crewkerne Rangers FC and kick off is at 2 pm. All monies raised will be donated to DEBRA UK, the national charity that supports individuals and families affected by EB. The charity football match promises to be an entertaining afternoon. The bar in the George Reynolds Centre will be open for drinks.

January’s movie offered by the FilmCrew is a romantic comedy based on the co-writers Emily V Gordon and Kumail Nanjanis’ own love story. The Big Sick will be screened at Crewkerne Community Cinema in Wadham School auditorium on Friday 11th at 7.30 pm. Based on the true love story, the film shows how a Pakistani-American comic falls in love with an American graduate student but is forced to keep the relationship a secret because of cultural pressures from his family until the woman he loves is put into a medically induced coma. Crewkerne AWareness welcomes back spiritual medium Mitch Garlington for the groups first meeting of the New Year on Monday January 21st. Guest speaker Mitch Garlington is widely acclaimed for his accuracy when delivering messages from loved ones who are no longer with us and his Demonstrations Of Clairvoyance are always well received. Doors open at 6.30 pm for a 7 pm start at the Unitarian Chapel Hall in Hermitage Street. Admission of £2.50 per person is payable at the door and includes light refreshments.
