MENS VERSUS LADIES FOOTBALL MATCH RAISES HUNDREDS FOR CHARITY

A football match between the Mens XI and Ladies XI teams at Henhayes field on Saturday December 29th, raised hundreds of pounds for DEBRA UK. The charity match hosted by Crewkerne Rangers FC resulted in a 9-2 victory for the men’s team, and the overall total raised for the national charity that supports individuals and families affected by Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB) stands at £800.

Epidermolysis Bullosa is a painful genetic skin condition that results in easy blistering of the skin and mucous membranes, occurring from minor trauma or friction. Its severity can range from mild to fatal, causing narrowing of the Esophageal and leading to squamous cell skin cancer.

A spokesperson for Crewkerne Rangers FC said: “It was an entertaining afternoon and thanks to everyone who supported our charity football match in person and through online donations. Amazing effort everyone, thanks so much, we have now raised £800 for DEBRA UK to support children with EB.”
