BUSY START TO NEW YEAR FOR CREWKERNE FIRE STATION

It was a busy start to the New Year for Crewkerne Fire Station with two emergency call-outs on January 3rd and 4th. On the Thursday morning, Crewkerne were called to assist Beaminster after the West Dorset fire station received a report of a house fire at around 0905 hrs. The Crewkerne fire crew along with fire crews from Yeovil, Chard, Bridport, Charmouth and Maiden Newton helped Beaminster fire crew to extinguish the fire at the house near Drimpton.

On Friday January 4th at around 0757 hrs, one fire appliance from Crewkerne and one from Yeovil responded to a report of a fire in the trailer unit of a milk tanker. On arrival at the scene of the incident in Middle Chinnock Road, fire crews confirmed a small fire in the engine of the trailer unit. There was no leakage or spillage of milk and fire crews used a C02 extinguisher to deal with the fire.
