Japanese cuisine is proving to be a popular addition to the street food available in Crewkerne. Professional chef Hideki Koike who previously worked in AP rosette award pubs, hotels and restaurants in Cornwall before moving to South Somerset, opened his Japanese Pop-Up Takeaway at Barret Bros in Market Street on January 9th.
KINORI offers a wide selection of Japanese dishes not just sushi and will be open from 11 am until 3 pm (unless daily stock runs out earlier) in January on 16th, 17th, 18th, 22nd, 23rd, 30th and 31st. Before setting up his Japanese kitchen which is home based in Hatch Beauchamp, Hideki was the head chef at the Lord Poulett Arms in Hinton St George. Hideki said: “I’m loving trading in Crewkerne and my dishes are proving so popular that I’ve been running out early.”
