FUN WITH BOOKSTART BEAR AT LIBRARY

Young children enjoyed a special visit at the Toddler time session in Crewkerne Library. The Bookstart Bear joined the toddlers to share the skills of learning to read books at their first session after the festive holiday period.
Crewkerne Library has a full programme of fun activities and talks planned for the early part of 2019 with the next Games Morning on Saturday January 26th from 10 am until 12 noon, which is open to all ages and offers the chance to play popular board games such as Monopoly Junior, Scrabble, Yahtzee and Jenga and a Harry Potter Book Night coming soon!

Crewkerne Library is also hosting an interesting talk and slide show presentation of Oscar Davis’ time in Africa and Thailand on Friday February 15th at 11 am. Oscar Davis is a former Head of International Aid at the Red Cross and was BBC Breakfast Times ‘Disaster Man’ during the 1980’s. His forthcoming presentation entitled My Life And Work Abroad is expected to attract many visitors and Crewkerne Library are advising people to book their seats in advance.
