Wyvern Savings & Loans needs a volunteer teller/cashier for its weekly service point in Crewkerne Town Hall. Sessions run on Tuesday mornings from 10.15 am until 12.15 pm and training relevant to a credit union will be available for a suitable applicant. The role of teller/cashier includes the enrolment of new members, providing support and advice on products and on services offered by Wyvern.
Wyvern Savings & Loans is owned and run by its members. There are over 120 volunteers throughout Dorset and Somerset who manage all aspects of the credit union, which offers a safe and ethical alternative to the high street banks and loans with low interest rates. Wyvern is authorised by the Prudential Regulation Authority and regulated by them and the Financial Conduct Authority. Savings are protected by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme.
Membership is available to anyone who lives or works within Dorset or Somerset and the adjoining parishes. The Crewkerne Service Point in the town hall was unable to open on February 5th due to staff shortages and unless more volunteers come forward, Wyvern will continue to experience difficulties in staffing the service point on a weekly basis. Anyone who would like to volunteer for the role of teller/cashier in Crewkerne or at any of their other service points, please contact Wyvern on 01305 268444 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
