Avon and Somerset Constabulary are appealing for witnesses to a car theft and the movements of the driver and passenger before they were apprehended by Police after a Police car chase that ended when the vehicle crashed at Reckleford in Yeovil at 1 pm on Sunday February 24th. The Audi A3 was stolen from Rivermead garage in Crewkerne at around 3.30 am on Sunday morning. Two 18 year olds were apprehended by Police and taken into custody the same day. Both were brought before Somerset Magistrates at Yeovil on Monday. The male driver was ordered to be sent to Taunton Crown Court for sentence on March 22nd.
