The mystery of the missing iron planter from outside Take A Peek Boutique has been solved. Shop proprietor Kylie Hammond expressed her concerns that the large ornate planter had been stolen when it disappeared in early February. At the time Kylie didn’t know who had removed it but commented that “they left a mess behind.” Enquiries were made and it now transpires that the council removed it and will be replacing it at some time. The iron planter was a focal point in the town and always looked attractive with colourful blooms during the flowering seasons. It had been in place for many years, going back to the time when the shop was known as Gresham Books and maybe even earlier.
