Crewkerne Wedding Fair will extend its charitable donations to a third worthy cause this year. Proceeds from the popular Spring event, now in its third year, will be in aid of St Bartholomew’s Church, Mothers Union and Crewkerne Action for the Disabled (CAD). Wedding Fair organiser Ann Cossins said: “We wanted to support a local group that does a lot for the community. As we aim to be an all inclusive annual event and are very proud that our unique venue at St Bartholomew’s Church offers level access through its north entrance to wheelchair users, we chose Crewkerne Action for the Disabled to be our third worthy charitable cause.”
This year’s Wedding Fair in the 15th century parish church takes place on Sunday April 7th from 11 am until 3 pm. Entry is free to all visitors, goodie bags will be distributed and refreshments available. A variety of wedding services will be exhibited with many local businesses who have previously supported the wedding fair in Crewkerne, returning again this year. These include MP Taxis, Silver Cake and Twigs and Twine Floral Design. Talented local singer Victoria Starr will be performing during the event.
Exhibiting at the wedding fair for the first time are Candy Bees Sweet Car Hire and Wedding Props, the Old Bridge Wedding Reception and Special Occasions venue and Carousel. Crewkerne’s wedding fair is not just for couples who are looking to get married in a church and caters for all couples who are hoping to say ‘I Do’ regardless of their preferred form of ceremony and venue. Ann is looking forward to welcoming everyone to the wedding fair, which is being held on a Sunday afternoon to enable those who work during the week to attend with their family and friends. If anyone offers a wedding service that may not already be covered, in particular mother of the bride outfits and gentleman’s attire, and would like to take part in this year’s event, please phone the parish office on 01460 72047.
