WATCHES STOLEN DURING BREAK-IN AT ANTIQUES CENTRE

Police have confirmed that a number of pocket watches, wrist watches and fob chains were taken during a break-in at the Antiques Bazaar in the early hours of Friday March 1st. Police were called to the antique and vintage centre at the Old Textile Mill in South Street, Crewkerne in response to reports that an alarm was going off at the premises, at about 12.45 am. A spokesman for Avon and Somerset Constabulary said: “Entry had been forced to the property and cabinets damaged in the building.”

Police are asking jewellers and second hand shops to be vigilant and are keen to hear from anyone who may be offered any of the stolen items, featured in the photograph they have released with their recent statement.
