Wadham School welcomed the air crew from an 825 NAS Wildcat when the helicopter landed in the school field on Monday March 18th. The Naval Air Squadron from RNAS Yeovilton showed students around the helicopter before giving a presentation at assemblies in the school hall. Pupils from Ashlands First School joined Wadham School for the helicopter visit and were excited to have been given the opportunity to share the experience.

The flying visit was arranged as part of Community Engagement, Work Experience and STEM programmes. Wadham’s students were able to learn about the different types of careers available in the Royal Navy before the military services’ newest maritime helicopter took off from the school field and its air crew returned to RNAS Yeovilton.
