Crewkerne’s Annual Town Meeting of Electors will take place on Monday April 15th at 7.30 pm in Victoria Hall. The public meeting, hosted by the Mayor Cllr Kathy Head, is an opportunity for the residents of Crewkerne to hear from local organisations about their work and successes and to ask direct questions to the councillors about matters concerning the town. Included in the Agenda are reports on Crewkerne Aqua Centre, George Reynolds Centre, Henhayes Centre and reports from the Crewkerne Branch of the Royal British Legion, the Police and SSDC – regarding the district council’s presence in the town hall front office.
The evening will also include the presentation of the Honoured Citizen Award and presentation of grants cheques to local groups and organisations, that have applied to Crewkerne Town Council for funding. Everyone is welcome to attend and tea and coffee will be served. Crewkerne Town Council have stated that it would be helpful to have advance notice of questions regarding finance. Dowsing is the topic for this month’s meeting of Crewkerne AWareness on Monday April 15th at 7 pm in the Unitarian Chapel hall in Hermitage Street. Guest speaker Matthew French is chairman of Somerset Dowsers. Matthew whose professional dowsing practice, Dowsability, is based in Langport has over 20 years experience dowsing for water, lost objects and healing the landscape. He is a professional dowser, registered with the British Society of Dowsers (BSD).
Matthew’s talk at Crewkerne AWareness will include a power-point presentation on dowsing and he will be bringing spare pendulums and rods with him, for anyone who wants to have a go at dowsing.
