MAYOR JUDGES BONNETS AT EASTER HOP

Crewkerne Mayor, Cllr Kathy Head was delighted with the invitation to judge the bonnets in the Easter Hop at St Bartholomew’s School but with 17 colourful hat creations in the Easter bonnet parade, it was not an easy task. The first prize was won by Tasker, in second place was Thomas and in third place Emilia. The three winners were presented with a boxed Easter egg each and all the other entrants received a creme egg.

Other fun activities taking place at the event, included egg and spoon races and bunny hop races. An assortment of stalls offered face painting, glitter tattoos, a teddy and a chocolate tombola, quiz, treasure hunt, raffle and craft tables were kept busy with children making things for Easter and colouring in pictures.
The Easter Hop was organised by the Friends of the School Association (FSA) and raised around £750. The money will help to fund school trips this year for pupils at St Bartholomew’s School.
