REQUESTS FOR MORE FAMILY COFFEE MORNINGS AT LEGION HQ

The Crewkerne Branch of the Royal British Legion have received requests to run more family coffee mornings, following the success of their Easter holiday event. Held at the Legion HQ in the George Reynolds Centre, the Easter coffee morning with crafts for children, raised £111.56. In comments made by parents and grandparents who attended, requests have been made for similar events in the future. One mum said: “I hope you do this more because my daughter loves doing crafts and this is such a lovely idea.” While another parent said: “What a good idea to do this, especially during the school holidays.” Secretary of the Crewkerne Branch of RBL, Alice Samuel said: “Special thanks to Sandie Smith who arranged the event and thanks to those who helped and also to the families who attended.”
