Forty one students in Years 9 and 10 at Wadham School enjoyed skiing at the Boi Taull resort in Spain, during the Easter holidays. The students were accompanied by Mr Brunt, Miss Davison, Mr Huggett, Miss Middleton and Mrs Morgan. Boi Taull has the highest altitude for a ski resort in the Pyrenees and provides high snow quality throughout the day over a combined skiing area of 45.3 km. Many of the students were learning to ski for the first time and received five hours skiing tuition each day.
Breath-taking views across the mountain range and 52 pistes, offering green, blue, red and black graded slopes for learners, relative beginners, intermediate and advanced skiers, provided a great experience with many memorable moments that will stay with the students for a lifetime. Many of the students were able to tackle the more challenging red and black runs by the end of the week and everyone said it was a “wonderful experience and a fun time.”
