Children enjoyed free craft activities at Crewkerne & District Museum during the recent school holidays. Many of the youngsters chose to make masks with the cut out design for rabbits proving most popular. Events at the museum continue on Thursday May 9th with a presentation on the parish church and its people at 10.30 am by local author Peter Wingrave. This is a free event but booking is required.

The popular exhibition on Crewkerne Grammar School continues at the museum until July 13th and a special Art Exhibition by French artists from Crewkerne’s twin town of Igny will begin on Saturday June 1st and run for two to three weeks. Volunteers are also busy organising more exhibitions for this year, a series of guided walks around the town and a Heritage Open Day. Crewkerne Museum is open on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 10 am to 4 pm and on Saturdays from 10 am to 1 pm. Entry costs £1 per adult with free admission for accompanying children.
