SCHOOL CONGRATULATES MOON WALK TEAM ON COMPLETING CHARITY CHALLENGE

Wadham School have congratulated Kym Toms and her team for completing the London Moon Walk, uniting against breast cancer. Kym who is Wadham School’s Cover Manager, took part with three friends in the capital city’s most iconic night-time fundraising event. The local team completed the Full Moon Marathon of 26.2 miles in 8.5 hours and raised an amazing £1700 in sponsorship.

Wearing a bra over their outer clothing, a trademark of Walk the Walk charity who organised the annual event, the Full Mooners crossed Tower Bridge and passed many tourist attractions on their walking route, including the Peace Pagoda in Battersea Park, Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament, Buckingham Palace and the London Eye on the south bank of the River Thames.

Walk the Walk, whose patron is HRH Prince of Wales, is the largest grant making charity in the UK, which grants the funds raised to other charities and organisations throughout the UK, to help reach united goals and ambitions of treating breast cancer.
